There are no muscle gaining secrets. That has to be anything but music to the ears of readers who are hell bent on learning some inside information to making gains faster than everyone around them. It just doesn’t happen. You have to lift and eat correctly to grow. There are no shortcuts. But there is some good news, my friends. Even though there are no shortcuts, there are some guarantees. Yes, in a life where “Ain’t nobody promised tomorrow…” (Quote from The Wire series), there are some promises in bodybuilding that can be made. Let’s look at these truths which cannot be denied. iStock 000010813757Medium 200x300 3 Muscle Gaining Secrets You Need To Know!

If you eat more calories than you burn, then you will grow
There is no denying this. If your body burns 3000 calories each day, and you consume 3500 calories per day, then there is no way you will not be in a surplus of 3500 calories per week – which actually equates to a gain of 1 pounds per week. Now, that weight can either be in the form of muscle or fat – and the amount of exercise that you choose to do will dictate that. But if you eat more than you burn, then you gain weight. It’s that simple! So if you are ready to move your body up to a higher muscular body weight, then you need to lift more, eat more, and watch that scale climb.

If you get stronger, you will get bigger
It’s true! When you move a weight, you tear a boatload of muscle fibers. They are forced to grab protein from your bloodstream, and heal both bigger and stronger. As a result, you, the lifter, also heal bigger and stronger! You will never meet a man in the gym who can deadlift 500 pounds who isn’t as big as a house. There is little chance the man next to you benching 375 for repetitions is a skinny twerp. You lift heavy, you grow stronger, and – provided you consume enough calories – you are going to grow new muscle. It is a fact.

You don’t grow when you’re in the gym
Some new lifters will practically live in the gym, training for hours each day and very rarely taking a rest day. They will (falsely) argue that their muscles are growing, because every time they train, they swell up (with blood in the muscle group). Of course, this is an illusion. Whatever swelling you see in the gym is not growth. Rather, it’s just blood and lactic acid building up in the muscle group – the legendary “pump”! The truth is that you grow at night when you sleep. Your body repairs town muscle fibers and comes back stronger than ever.

If you want muscle gaining secrets, you’ve come to the wrong place. There are no such things. But there are some tried and true guarantees that you can follow in order to make steady and consistent gains in the gym, without fail. Eat a caloric surplus, train for strength, and get plenty of sleep – and you will grow!
