pmXfit – The Ultimate Training System!
The quality of your mindset will largely determine what you get out of a body building venture. One such, all important, mindset quality is of goal directness. In body building, if you fail to develop a goal-directed mentality, and consequently behavior, you will not be able to harness progressive gains. It is the lack of training goals that account for most failures in this game, than all other the other possible causes combined.
As a body builder you must understand that training goals must be relevant to your interest and ability, be specific and precise, be measurable and quantifiable, be attainable and realistic, and be time-referenced and bound and most of all be the very essence of your desire. You should never fail to weigh carefully all the benefits that could accrue from achieving those goals as compared to what you must sacrifice to gain such benefits. Upon careful and diligent inspection, you should ingrain these goals and rich a deep conviction that the resultant benefits will more than justify the sacrifices you have to make.
That conviction should then be fermented in your mind, creating a psychic and largely emotional fuel, which is necessary to sustain a motivated pursuit throughout the training program.
Secondly, successful body builders exhibit a rare open-mindedness. At all times, closed-mindedness might be a genetically ingrained survival instinct that seeks comfort in the known rather that risk with the unknown. Most body builders survive and totally believe only in the confined mentality of same old exercises, same old techniques, same old insights, that made champions decades ago. They are not willing to trust new techniques, to try out new exercises, benefit from new insights and create novel programs. They are comfortable and totally defensive of the knowledge they inherited and not ever willing to trade with anything new, better or worse.
For you to hit the highest echelon of achievement, in a body building career however, you must open up your mind and seek for the highest degree of training and dieting success, based not on the so called “the way” or “the only way,” but on innovative and adaptive integration of practical ideas and insights. You must remain receptive to new thinking, new ideas and concepts, most of which are better than what you already know.
Finally, success will follow you all through the training program if you cultivate investment mindedness where you endeavor to work hard today and reap the benefits tomorrow. It is not a must that the efforts you put in today bear fruits instantaneously, rather body building g as a growth process benefits from the efforts put yesterday to cement today’s gains. Be ready to consolidate, patience, persistence and self-discipline for that is what matures to tomorrow’s phenomenal gain. Without that mental frame, you will result to miracle pills, instant training programs and anabolic steroids, which do nothing more than wreck your health and then cost you dearly for it.
The willingness to put in sacrifice for now so as to cultivate greater gains later is especially applicable to both nutrition and supplementation, where positive outcomes of a any nutritional program may take weeks or months, to show.
