protein 1 5 Nutrition Tips For Bodybuilders1. Eat Frequently
The bodybuilder’s body has higher nutritional requirements than those of a non-athletic person. Your body needs a constant supply of energy which is gotten from carbohydrates and fats as well as raw materials for building muscle tissue which is gotten from proteins. Not only do they have to be present in your meals but you have to take it a notch higher. This means that depending on your goals, you should eat a minimum of 5 meals and a maximum of 8 times. I’m not talking about cookies and a glass of milk being counted as a meal. I’m talking about a real balanced meal that is made up of real whole foods.

2. Take Your Supplements Regularly
While you may be having a very good meal plan to provide your body with all the required nutrients, you may still end up falling shot of these requirements. This is mostly because whole foods loose a lot of their nutrients from the time the come from the producer to the time they get into your mouth. The heat you use for cooking especially destroys quite some chunk of nutrients. This is where supplements come into the lovely picture and completes the portrait. You should especially be kin when it comes to vitamins and minerals which may more often than not be forgotten about. Protein supplements should also be taken to give your body the minimum protein requirement daily. Fish oil capsules are a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids and should definitely be part of your supplement intake.

3. Drink Milk and other Dairy Products
Bodybuilders tend to avoid milk like the flu. This is because milk is high in fat content. The problem of doing this is that while you avoid the fat, you also end up missing out on the protein, calories and calcium. Calcium is what is responsible for your strong bones and teeth. Dairy products are also rich in vitamin D. milk is also good at hydrating the body and can be taken hand in hand with water. If the amount of fat in it scares you, simply buy low fat milk products.

4. Pineapples
Yes pineapples it wasn’t a typo. This fruit is one of the best things that a bodybuilder can eat. It is a natural anti-inflammatory drug that contains analgesic properties. In short, it helps in speedy recovery of sprains, bruises and other common injuries. Also if you have any rheumatic conditions such as arthritis, it will ease the pain a lot. It is packed with vitamin c as is common with all fruits of this nature.

5. Drink Lots of Water as Frequently as Possible
The body looses a lot of water to the atmosphere regardless of the conditions. When it’s hot it only means that it looses more through sweating. Water is used as an agent for removing wastes from the body as well as a reactant in many chemical processes in the body. It regulates the body’s temperature as well as the pH in the body.
