Here are some tips that you can use if you wan t a gym where years later was worth the try:
1. Think Location
This is a good way of trimming down the variety of choices you have to a few ones. By eliminating gyms that are far and will be hustle to access, you also cut down your chances of going to the gym inconsistently and also late. Get a gym that’s conveniently located for you and for your gym partner if you already have on in mind.
2. Think Equipment
Before you spend a dime, you should make sure that the investment is worth it. Signing up for a gym is the equivalent of investing in your good health. The reason why you are looking for a gym might be because you can’t afford to have all those machines at home, this means then that the gym must be able to grant you access to most of them if not all of them.
3. Think Maintenance
When you walk into a gym only for the instructor to point to you the 10 machines that are broken in the gym and have been that way for the past few weeks, then be warned. A good gym is one which spends money, the money you paid them, on repair and maintenance. If you go to the really big gyms, they have insured some of their equipment and can therefore afford to replace broken down equipment promptly.
4. Think Safety
The first thing that should meet your eyes when you walk into a gym is the safety precautions, well written and outlined. Also, the staff should make sure that everyone abides under them in order to prevent freak accidents at the gym. If a dumbbell and barbells lying around the floor haphazardly are the first things that catch your eyes when you walk into a gym, my advice to you is to run while you are still ahead.
5. Think Hygiene
The gym should be squeaky clean in both the training and locker rooms. A lot of bacteria and germs are passed out of the body through body fluids such as sweat which as you know, is released quite plentifully in the gym. The gym should be regularly disinfected to prevent any funny outbreaks fro occurring.
6. Think Ventilation
If you don’t see huge glass windows, air vents and fans, or at least an air con machine, chances are that that room isn’t nearly as well ventilated as a gym ought to be. I can only imagine the amount of carbon dioxide in the room as the trainees constantly release it into the air with every huff they take in and out.
7. Think Affordability
Get a gym that you can comfortably pay for now and consistently for the next quite a number of years. If every time you think of the gym what comes to mind is the huge pending gym fee, then chances are that you either don’t work out consistently or that you hate it there.
