0000000689332 300x199 Benefits of Warming Up Before a Training SessionImagine trying to drive a car which has been immobile for a long time, you first need to warm the engine before you drive off. This is the same when it comes to training, for you to train well you need to at least do a little warm up.

Warming up does not mean that you are a wimp but it actually goes to show how confident you are about your masculinity.

What is your number one goal when you are in the gym? If it is not to lift heavier weights then you have no business being there in the first place. The only way you can be able to lift heavier weights is by first warming up through riding the treadmill and other forms of warm-ups. Lifting heavier weights will in turn make you grow bigger as long as you are not overtraining. For you to grow bigger you need to remember to take plenty of proteins and also get enough rest.

Warming up will make you lift heavier weights because it speeds up your groove and you get into the momentum of lifting heavier weights faster. During the warm up sessions you are able to determine the stress you are willing to endure during the training and in so doing, you are able to gauge whether you can be able to withstand explosive lifts.

When you are in the gym you should also try and avoid getting injuries. A very classic example is that of glass blower, he can only bend it into the design he chooses only when the glass is hot. If the glass was cool it would break and shutter into pieces. The body building process also follows this principal. When you train with weights without first warming up then you are bound to succumb to injuries just as the glass will break when cool. When you warm up before lifting weights, then your body muscles will respond accordingly and begin to grow.

You cannot talk your way out of doing warm ups. And if you think you can do that, well prepare yourself to get injuries when training in the gym. Which is better nursing an injury or sucking up your alter ego? Do not underestimate the degree of injuries you can get while hitting the gym; some injuries can actually leave you physically impaired for life.

When you are warming up, you should give special attention to your shoulders, lower back and the traps. These are very crucial areas to remember because they are involved in almost every lifting you will do in the gym.

If you want to train safely in the gym, even though you have warmed up it is very advisable to start with lighter weights and then progress to slightly heavier weights. This will give you time to gauge whether you can be able to handle heavy weights and in the process you might avoid getting some very serious injuries.

To conclude, I would finish this article by advising people are to proud to warm up, not to let their ego get the best of them.
