When you are undertaking aerobic exercises your body muscles usually get depleted in the process. When you are training aerobically the body will use proteins to generate the energy needed to facilitate the intense training. What most people don’t know is that a person’s body usually alternates between the state of anabolism and catabolism. This process is referred to as protein turnover which basically means the process of how your body switches between catabolism and anabolism process. When you are still living you cannot be able to do without these two processes. When you do a lot of cardio exercises you are more likely to start losing your body muscles. You need to avoid performing excess cardio exercises for this reason. When you perform too much cardio exercises, you are only going to tip the scale to fall toward catabolism.
For you to be able to avoid excessive aerobics you need to know just what excessive aerobics are. If you’re aerobic session extends for more than 45 minutes then this is termed as excessive aerobics. You should also avoid performing cardio exercises 7 days a week. When performing aerobic exercises you should ensure that you take sufficient amount of nutrients in your diet. When you take sufficient proteins you be able to counter the effects of excessive aerobic exercises. Although aerobics leads to catabolism they also have various health benefits such as increasing the flow of oxygen and blood in the various muscles. This property is the reason why many bodybuilders are advised to undertake aerobic exercises since it helps them recover fast. When you perform aerobic exercises your body vessels increase causing your body blood flow to increase. This also helps you to remove a lot of your body toxins. The increase of your blood vessels is called cardio density.
The depletion of your muscles will mostly occur as a result of taking inadequate diet more than from excessive aerobic exercises. The rate of growth of your muscle mass is determined by the amount of proteins you take in your diet. Proteins are the building blocks of muscles. You need to ensure therefore that you take sufficient amount of proteins in your diet. The recommended amount of protein intake should be 1.5 grams for every pound that you weigh. The other reason why you could be losing your muscles could be because you are not taking adequate carbs in your diet. This means therefore that your body will lack adequate fuel to be able to train intensely in the gym.
