pmXfit – The Ultimate Training System!
The most popular goal of the fitness enthusiast is to burn fat and gain muscle in as little time as possible. You can lift all the weights and do all the cardio you want, but if your diet plan isn’t great you will not achieve your ultimate goal. In this article I am going to look at the proper ways to go about getting that lean and muscular fit body you’ve always dreamed about.
To add muscle to your body frame you are going to need to incorporate some type of resistance training program. Weight lifting is an excellent choice that when done correctly and safely will give you wonderful muscle gains. My suggestion is to make sure you choose weights that you are completely comfortable with during your training program. I could go into the whole high reps vs. low reps argument, but I would suggest you do both kinds of training in your workout program. High reps will give you muscle endurance and a tone and slender look. Low reps will give you strength and muscle mass.
Using both of these in your workout will give you the best of both worlds. For example one week you could perform high reps, then the next week perform the lower rep workouts. Mixing the low rep and high rep workouts will keep your workouts fresh and new. Bodyweight exercises are wonderful and are a very challenging workout for people that have no gyms around close. Doing bodyweight exercises will give you just as good if not better results as weight lifting. With bodyweight exercises you have to use so many stabilizing muscles in order to perform the exercise correctly. In return this burns a lot of calories and tones muscles that tradition weight lifting doesn’t. Personally I have completely switched to just performing bodyweight exercises. They are very effective, safe, and can be done just about anywhere. You will never outgrow bodyweight exercises, because you can do so many variations to keep it challenging and fresh. You may want do both types of resistance training. Regardless of which style you pick they are both very challenging and will give you great results.
People will often have a great resistance training program and will not get the lean muscular body they desire. Part of this reason is on their lack of cardio and nutrition plan they have. You can’t expect to get lean and have muscle mass if you don’t do cardio to get your heart rate up in its fat burning zone. Jumping rope is wonderful cardio and it doesn’t cost a lot to get started. Running, swimming, walking, these are all wonderful ways to burn fat also. Whichever you choose I would at least try to do around 20 or 30 minutes every other day. Your diet plan is going to be the biggest factor in your goal at getting a lean muscular body. Eat lean meats such as chicken, fish, venison, turkey, etc. If you choose to eat bread make sure it is whole wheat and not white bread.
Not all carbohydrates are bad for you. Actually they give you quite a bit of energy, just make sure you choose foods that have whole grain in them. Cut out all the pop and other sugar filled snacks. Drinking water instead of pop will make you feel better and will also cut out a lot your sugar consummation. Drinking water is one of the best things you could ever do to improve your body. Eat more fruits and vegetables and try to stay away from those fatting junk foods. Follow these guidelines and you will be on your way to that lean and muscular body.
