Nowadays a lot of people are turning to bodybuilding because is has plenty of benefits. Body building helps a person improve his health by boosting there immune system. Body building also slows down the aging process by controlling the adverse effects associated with aging such as; low sex drive, increase in the amount fat, decrease in muscle tissue, weakening of the bones leading to osteoporosis, high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and general loss of energy and virility.
Not only does bodybuilding help a person maintain there health but it also help them maintain there body physique. We all want to have a good physique and look good. Looking good is very important because it increases your self esteem and confidence. And with confidence the only thing holding you back from succeeding in life is yourself.
This is the reason why many women are now very interested in bodybuilding. In the past it was only men who dominated this sport. However female bodybuilding has started to gain popularity worldwide. This has improved bodybuilding as a sport since it has lead to diversity.
The rising popularity of female bodybuilding has come in the right time because for long the society has looked down upon women. Due to the rising popularity women have become even more confidents in the society and they have been also able to maintain there health. A woman who has lean body muscles looks amazing as compared to a woman who has a high fat to muscle ratio.
Female bodybuilding and male bodybuilding have similarities and differences. The difference is in terms of the hormones present in both men and women. Men have an advantage here since there dominant hormone namely testosterone is the one which is used in building muscles. Women on the other hand have estrogen which does not take part in muscle building. Therefore men tend to respond more to training than there female counterpart.
The other difference is female work out routines are very different from male work out routine. Men are supposed to use very heavy weights with less repetition so that they can be able to achieve huge muscles. Women on the other hand are not supposed to aim at getting very big muscles there aim should be to get lean body muscles. With this in mind there training routine should involve using light weights with more repetitions. This implies that they get to spend a lot of time in the gym.
Women also tend to have more body fat as compared to there male counterpart. Therefore no matter how hard they lift weights there progress will not be feasible unless they couple this with aerobics to burn off the excess fat.
Women are supposed to spend more time in the gym for there body to respond to the training. The reason is because they have very low testosterone levels. Women are also the same people who are supposed to balance there time and do some house work. It becomes very difficult for them to maintain the home and still find time to go to the gym. Due to this reason there progress in bodybuilding is really slowed down.
