1. Avoid Eating Quite Too Much
If you studied your biology well you will remember that excess calories are usually stored by the body as body fat. And excess calories are usually gotten through eating too much. If you are a body builder your prime goal should be to get more muscles as opposed to getting more body fat. Fat will hide the muscles you have worked so hard to acquire. If you are excessively heavy weight then the first thing you need to consider is to lower the amount of food you are eating. Overeating will not improve your situation but it will only worsen it even further. However I am not suggesting that you on a drastic diet as this could have other negative consequences.
2. Avoid Eating Too Little
If you think that under eating is good for you, you can not be further from the truth. How do you expect to increase your body muscles if you are under eating? The only way your body can be able to gain more muscles is if it contains plenty of proteins, carbohydrates and a little bit of fat. Calories are what fuel the body; therefore if you do not get enough of them you will not be able to carry out intense workouts. . If you want to increase the rate at which your body is absorbing nutrients, you need to increase your food taking frequency. . And each meal should contain plenty of calories so that your rate of calorie intake surpasses the amount your body is burning.
3. Insufficient Protein Intake
If you recall your biology you will remember that proteins are the building blocks of muscles and therefore very critical when it comes to body building. In fact of all nutrients needed by the body proteins are the most essential when it comes to building more muscles. This is because proteins are what helps the muscle tissue to repair there selves after a break down.
The best source of proteins include; meat, fowl, fish, dairy products and also legumes.
4. Not Knowing How To Cook
The art of preparing meals is something which every body builder should be equipped with. It is very cost effective when you cook for yourself and don’t rely all the time on eating take outs.
Also knowing how to cook will really help you plan on the amount of calories you are going to take with each meal.
