There are some people who never seem to succeed in losing weight. They start the year making resolutions that they are going to lose weight, but whatever method they use, in the end they still fail to lose weight. In order to lose weight there are three principles you need to follow so that you can be able to burn the excess body fat.
The first principle has noting to do with using fat burners. The use of fat burners in order to lose weight is not recommended since some of them contain steroid substances. Therefore when you use such kind of fat burners, you are going to suffer from the following side effects; enlargement of the clitoris, shrinking of the testicles, low sperm count, growth of breasts in men, decreased sexual drive, baldness, increase in facial acne, heart problems, liver ailments, kidney problems, insomnia and depression. Do not use fad burners in order to lose weight.
Fad diets are also not among the principles of losing weight. The most common and widely spread myth when it comes to losing weight has to be fad diets. Many people have tried to use fad diets to lose weight, without much success the reason being that fad diets make the body to go into starvation mode. When the body goes into starvation mode, it starts to burn muscles instead of fat. If you experience a loss in weight after a few weeks of using fad diets the weight you are losing is as a result of lose in body muscles.
The loss in weight is only temporary since once you lose your body muscles your body metabolism becomes slow and this will make you burn fewer calories. Once your body metabolism slows down you will gain weight since you are not burning as much calories as you used to. The presence of excess calories will lead to an increase in fat since the excess calories are converted into body fat.
Now that you are aware what the principles of losing weight are not all about, I will highlight what they are all about. The first principle of losing weight involves following an intense weight training regimen. If you are obese it is vital that you lift weights if you are to stand any chances of losing weight. Weight lifting leads to the increase in lean body muscles. When you increase your lean body muscles you will be able to increase your body metabolism as well. An increase in body metabolism means that you are going to burn a lot of calories.
The second principle of losing weight involves doing a lot of cardio exercises. You need to jog, walk, use the treadmill, cycle or even attend aerobic classes. Your aerobic session needs to be very intense but brief so that you do not experience catabolic effects which might cause you to lose your body muscles.
The last principle of losing weight involves knowing how to count your calories. This will enable you to reduce your caloric intake just enough to avoid the body from going into starvation mode.
