pmXfit – The Ultimate Training System!
You love bodybuilding, but there’s a good chance you’re among the 99% of trainers in the gym who will never set foot upon a bodybuilding stage. This is alright – not all of us were built to diet down to 3%, drop all our water, don the posing trunks, and get onstage and face those with better genetics and enough gear in their body to cripple a horse. However, many of us in the non-stage variety would enjoy seeing what our physiques could look like with a lot less body fat. Here are some tips for bodybuilders to lower their overall body fat without resorting to a traditional bodybuilding diet. You might not reach 3%, and it might take a bit longer, but it involves simple, common sense adjustments to your lifestyle which can make a significant difference in the long run!
The 3-hour clock
Set your stopwatch. It will alert you every three hours. When it beeps, you eat. It’s that simple. No excuses, no missing meals. When that thing beeps, you find a table and eat the meal you have ready. If you have no meal handy, mix up a quick protein shake and toss together a plate of rice, from the next tip.
Rice cooker: Always on
When you have a craving for carbs, you may find yourself in the cabinet, gobbling up your wife’s cookies or granola bars in an effort to get the energy your body craves. Rather than wasting your progress with this action, why not keep a warm pot of delicious rice cooking all day? It will stay fresh all day, it tastes great with any other food, and it delivers to your body the carbohydrates you need for energy, without the junk calories from other impulse carb sources.
Avoid fast food
It doesn’t take a nutritionist to know that most food you get from a drive-thru is junk, although most nutritionists would certainly agree with this comment! Simply avoiding drive-thru restaurants will force you to either miss meals, or plan ahead of time and actually make your meals. Take the McDonalds option off of your menu and you’ll be forced to find common sense solutions to your caloric and nutrient needs.
Cut your sugars
You know what sort of sugary foods you should be avoiding. Soda, candy, ice cream, and other junk is terrible for bodybuilding purposes, and has no place in a common sense bodybuilding diet. Simply dropping them from your diet will result in a nice new level of muscularity emerging. You’ll look better, feel better, and your muscles will become more visible without the sugary shield hiding them. You don’t have to make major changes to your lifestyle to look better – just cut out the junk.
Fruit, every time
Start every singe meal of your day with a piece of fruit.
If you find your gums or belly cannot handle all that fruit, choose a small cup of applesauce with each meal. You’ll enjoy all the health and fat loss benefits of fruit in a shot you can swallow in about 10 seconds.
