pmXfit – The Ultimate Training System!
One unfortunate aspect of bodybuilding that has been manifested in lots of people is the tendency to focus all the effort on the upper body and then doing little or nothing under the belt. There are consequences for this type of training and these are quite comical. There is nothing very amusing if you will spend the whole year in the gym and then emerge only for people to start calling you weird names like ‘chicken legs’ simply because your upper body is so sculpted but it is being supported on feeble legs. You may have incredible proportions in your upper body but you will not get full marks if your legs are spindly in character. You simply have to apply effort in ensuring that you get those noticeable quads and calves.
The bodybuilding effort in this case should be approached with the same mentality that the pharaohs approached the constructing of the Great Pyramids. Paying attention to the base will ensure that the entire structure is well balanced and supported. Here there will be a reduced incidence of collapse. Remember this analogy whenever you hit the gym. It is not only about the biceps, the triceps, or the six pack. The following are some of the advices that have been provided over the years courtesy of the seasoned pros of the industry:
Make sure you alternate your training effort and pay adequate attention to your legs. As you will often notice in the many articles that are there on bodybuilding the squats have been recognized as some of the most efficient workouts in as far as the sport of bodybuilding is concerned. By all means you should not skip these workouts because they pay off in a big way. They can be done through the use of a barbell or simply without these equipment; plain and simple. You need to be prepared to do these the right way or else you will just be increasing the risk of injury to your body. When you get into the squat position make sure that the motion upward and downward is started from the butt and not the knees.
In addition to these squats there are some other effective workouts that you can throw in including the standing leg curls and the leg extensions. The latter will be effective in training your quadriceps and the former will be instrumental in growing your calves.
In whatever type of effort that you are intent on putting into your workout make sure that this is always done in proper form. This means that you have to get your posture right especially when you are using weights. It is really easy to get injuries in the gym and these should be avoided at all costs.
Bear in mind that you are working on some of the biggest muscles in your body. This means that you have the opportunity to add to your metabolic rate which will then translate into better fat loss.
