quads How Do You Build MuscleBuilding muscle isn’t as easy as it seems. Many people think that just by exercising everyday you will build muscle but there is an underlying knowledge that you need to be familiar with to achieve the results that you are looking for.

In order to grow lean muscle mass you have to eat the correct number of calories from protein and carbohydrates so that your body has the energy to train hard enough so that you can build muscle mass. You need to get in the habit of eating meals that are rich in protein, carbohydrates and fat as well as taking a protein supplement to achieve your goal. Instead of eating three big meals a day you should eat 5-7 small meals to help keep you energized and keep your metabolism up. Drinking plenty of water also plays a key factor, you want to keep your body hydrated to achieve the results you are working so hard for. To see the benefits of your hard work you need to feed your body the right way or else all your hard work will be for nothing.

Now that you know the proper way to eat to build muscle mass you need to determine what kind of muscle you want to build. Do you want to build long lean muscles or large thick muscles?

If you want to build long lean muscles then this is best achieved by incorporating cycling, swimming and distance running into your workout plan. These aerobic exercises will help you to see a leaner healthier body.

If you are trying to build large thick muscles then you need to incorporate weight training and resistance exercises into your workout. When you are working out you need to push your body to its limits to build large muscles. If you have a set workout of doing ten repetitions but do not feel like you pushed your body then instead of stopping at ten you should push yourself to do a few more so that you can feel your muscles working. By forcing yourself to keep going you are forcing your muscle to grow stronger and bigger. You should work out 4-5 days per week while still allowing your body plenty of time to rest between workouts. To achieve your goals you need to stay motivated and consistent with your workouts. If you follow these steps then you will begin to see your hard work paying off in no time.
