How To Build Muscles With Protein

There are many people who dream of having the bulging muscles like the models who grace the cover of fitness magazines. It is highly unlikely that most people will achieve that, but most individuals are able to build muscle with protein. In the subsequent paragraphs, some tips will be given that will help a person achieve that fit, muscular body that he or she dreams about.
The first thing that a person wanting to build muscle needs to make sure of is that he or she is working out enough. In order for a person to stimulate the muscle building protein in his or her body, he or she needs to work out at least 3 times a week for fifteen minutes at a time. The next thing that a person needs to look at is his or her diet. One needs to make sure that he or she is taking in one gram of protein for every pound that he or she weights; that will allow him or her to get adequate amounts of protein.
Additionally, a person should be eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day, rather than 3 large ones. This keeps the metabolism going and the muscles fed constantly. One should also ingest protein bars and shakes in moderation; those help fuel muscle growth also. The protein bars and/or shakes can be taken before or after working out. They can also be taken with one or two meals a day.
There is one caveat about using protein to build muscle that a person should remember. That is not over due a good thing. While protein is essential to muscle building, too much of it can cause adverse side effects. Some of the symptoms that arise from getting too much protein include: decreased calcium absorption, induced or aggravated allergies, and kidney problems. However, it one does not go over the recommended amount of protein, he or she can build muscle without any unpleasant side effects.
