It’s no secret that the use of human growth hormone (HGH) has become very prevalent in today’s society. You turn on ESPN and there’s a 1 in 10 chance that at least one of the news stories will involve some jilted professional sports team trainer spilling the beans on which superstar athlete he injected with what compound. Growth hormone is mentioned very frequently because it is used very frequently. In the medical community, there are tens of thousands of males who are quietly using HGH. Their doctor prescribes it for a medical condition, and it allows them to reap the lifelong benefits of HGH use in small doses. It’s very popular and isn’t going anywhere.

If you’re a fan of professional or amateur bodybuilding, there’s no doubt you’re quite familiar with the use of HGH in that sport as well. In the last 15 years, the physiques presented onstage have ballooned up by 20 to 30 pounds heavier than they were in the five decades of sport that preceded it. While advents have been made in terms of sports medicine and nutrition, the major jump has been attributed to the use of HGH and other advanced compounds.

If you’re an amateur bodybuilder, HGH use is not for you – yet. You can run a simple testosterone/Nandrolone stack for your first 4 to 6 years of AAS use, and you’ll grow just fine. HGH use should be relegated to those bodybuilders with more training experience who have peaked on traditional AAS use.

When preparing to run an HGH cycle, you’ll need to purchase enough compound to run at least 20 IU per week. 30 IU per week is preferable. In terms of daily dose, two to three IU per day is fine for fat loss, and is ideal for the female dosage. If you wish to gain muscle while losing fat, then 4 to 5 IUs per day is an ideal cycle. Begin your dosing small, at 1.5 IUs per day for the first three weeks of your cycle. Your body already produces small amounts of growth hormone, the largest being immediately after you have fallen asleep at night. For this reason, you will be taking your biggest injections in the morning and early afternoon, when your body’s natural GH levels are at their lowest. Timing it like this will also give you the added benefit of not disrupting your body’s natural release.

When you first begin using HGH, there will be side effects. Your joints will hurt. Parts of you will swell. You may feel nauseous, particularly if you have any aversion to needles or injections. You may also develop the dreaded “moon face”, or water retention and swelling. This will subside after just a few days of use. Rotate your injection sites between your stomach, obliques, upper arms, and upper legs. The injection zone often develops small fatty deposits, which should be considered for vanity purposes. Overall, HGH is very useful for reaching bodybuilding goals when used correctly and in moderation.
