The question I am frequently asked by many bodybuilders is the question on the right amount of proteins that a bodybuilder should take. There are various fitness magazines and websites which offer information about the best amount of protein that a bodybuilder should take. The problem however has to do with the fact that some of the information contradicts each other. This makes many people get confused about the subject of the proper amount of proteins that a bodybuilder should take. The reason as to why many bodybuilders are very concerned about proteins is because proteins act as the building blocks of muscles. You should ensure that you take quality proteins in order to develop your muscles properly.
The most essential substance you need in order to develop your muscles is water followed by proteins. If you want your body to grow you needs to take plenty of proteins. The body has to grow when you are resting after the intense training. In order for this growth process to take place your muscle tissues need to repair after the intense weight training. Proteins are responsible for the growth of your muscle tissues. For your muscle tissues to be able to grow, you need to take plenty of proteins. The importance of proteins in determining whether you will be able to build your muscles cannot be overemphasized.
Since proteins determine your muscle growth it is important that you determine the right amounts you need to include in your diet. According to the RDA, a person should take an average of a gram of protein for every pound that they weigh. This is the required amount of protein that an ordinary person is required to take. If you are a bodybuilder on the other hand you are supposed to increase your intake of proteins. You need to take 1.5 grams of proteins for every pound that you weigh. This will enable you to have the right amount of proteins to build your muscles. You should however ensure that you carry out your own personal experiment in order to determine the right amount of protein which will help you build your muscles.
Therefore the first thing you should do when trying to determine the right amount of protein you should take in your diet is by calculating the amount of weight you weigh. After you have measured how much you weigh you need to multiply the value and express the figure in grams. This will enable you to determine just how much protein your body requires. Let’s assume you weigh Y grams, and then you need to consume 2Y grams of proteins in order to grow your muscles.
You should however ensure that you take proper amounts of carbs at the same time in order to develop your muscles. If you do not adequate amount of carbs your body will lack sufficient fuel to undertake intense training. When this happens the body will start using your protein reservoir in order to generate energy. This means therefore that you will not have sufficient amounts of proteins to be able to train intensely.
