Dairy1 Potential Health Issues Caused Dairy Products For BodybuildersOk, probably drown is a strong word, but you get the point. Bodybuilders need to stop listening to all those rumors surrounding milk and simply dive into it. Milk is very beneficial and shouldn’t be done away with simply because it has more fat than you’d expect to get from a drink. So before you continue with your non-milk diet, you should take a look of the other neat stuff packed in milk that you’re missing out on. Besides, ever heard of the term low fat? So unless you have a better excuse, you should make an informed decision concerning whether or not to drink milk.

First of all, milk is a very rich source of protein; the stuff responsible for those huge muscles. Milk contains both casein and whey which are the two top protein supplements in the market. Whey especially is quite popular especially due to the fact that it has the Highest BV and is a good way to gain some lean muscles. But here is the question, why use supplements when you have the fresh stuff? I personally find milk to be quite refreshing and I’d pick a cold glass of milk it over a beer on any day. Of cause it also has something to do with the fact that bodybuilding and alcohol simply don’t walk hand in hand down the prairie.

Secondly, milk is a very good source of the mineral called calcium. The mere fact that calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body just shows us how important it is to us. It is the mineral that is primarily involved in the contraction of muscles which is especially of great importance to bodybuilders. It also helps maintain high density of the bones which means that they won’t crush every time you pick up those heavy weights. Did you know that calcium actually helps to increase the burning of fat in your body?

Why go for vitamin A and D supplements when milk has them inn abundance. It is actually quite risky to depend on vitamin supplements especially if you consider the fact that these two vitamins are fat soluble. This means that if you take them in excess, they are toxic to your body.

It is important that your body should be hydrated at all times. In case you have never suffered from constipation; dehydration is a road you don’t want to take. The advantage that milk has over juices is that juices have too much simple sugar which is easily converted to fat. Milk has a lot of water and is a good break from the gallons of water you have to drink daily. You can alternate your water intake with milk.

Make sure that you watch the fat content in the dairy products that you are taking. If you just can’t stay without cheese, go for the leaner variety of it. Drink yoghurt that doesn’t have any artificial flavors but once in a while you can treat yourself to some of that tasty vanilla flavored yogurt.
