1. Focus on the eccentrics

A lot of people tend to neglect the eccentric phase of the lift not aware that it could also create muscle growth. In the eccentric phase your muscles stretches and thus you are able to cause muscle hypertrophy. If you want to overload the muscles you need to seriously emphasize the negative phase of the lift. This will help you achieve a radical growth in muscles.

2. Fish

A bodybuilder seeking to pack in body mass needs to eat plenty of fish. Fish contains omega three fatty acids which are very essential in muscle development. 3. Perform intense training

Intense training is also very important if you want to increase your body mass. You need to lift very heavy weights so that you can be able to effect maximum damage on your muscles. 4. Increase your glutamine, creatine and BCAA intake

Glutamine can also be referred to as immunity amino. The body tends to get stressed out especially after intense training and dieting. When this happens the body will start releasing glutamine in the blood stream which helps relieve the stress. Muscle growth is really inhibited if you have very low levels of glycogen. And that is why you need to supplement the body with glutamine.
The other benefit of glutamine is that it leads to more strength and enhances the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Adenosine triphosphate is responsible for providing the necessary fuel required to perform intense training and facilitate growth. Therefore when you supplement creatine in your body, this consequently leads to an increase in the production of ATP and therefore you are able to increase your strength.

When glycogen fuels drop, branched chain amino acids (BCAA) act as fuel sources for the body. Thus when you supplement them in your diet you will be able to increase the levels of nitrogen. This has the positive effect of preventing catabolism and therefore you are able to achieve mass gain.

5. Neglect aerobic exercises

You are not supposed to do any kind of aerobic exercise if your goal is to pack in more body mass. This is because aerobics will make you lose calories. For you to increase body mass you need to save up on your calories.

You should however not avoid aerobics completely because they have other health benefits such as strengthening your heart muscles. You should ensure that when you perform aerobics they are not intense.
