Many scientists are concerned that many bodybuilders are facing a real threat entering into the world of steroid abuse. The main reason why every bodybuilder has some intrinsic attraction to these substances is that they are dissatisfied with their progress. The truth of the matter is that the craving has less to do with bodybuilding results and more to do with body image which in many bodybuilders happens never to be good enough.

This is a truthful account, balanced and very objective. Anabolic steroid substances are dangerous, very dangerous. The poison the body gradually until the body is a mere frame. They are addictive to the level that soon enough the body cannot function without them. Bodybuilding is a process of inculcating strength, fitness, proportion and physique definition into the body. This is a process of positive development, a process of building and making the body better able to handle life’s demands.

Saturated fats have three main and different types of acids. The first of these acids constituted in the saturated fats is lauric acid. The lauric acid is very beneficial to your health contrary to what the bodybuilding and health literature has told you against saturated fats, as well. Not only does the lauric acid increase the HDL levels (good cholesterol, that is) to a significant amount, but it is also a rare type immune booster necessary in the prevention of most diseases. Lauric acid has some components nutrients that most body builder’s diet lack. Research has authenticated that lauric acid has only positive contributions to the diet, and none that can trigger heart malfunction.

The off-season is where champion physiques are built. Sure, the pre-contest phase is important. You will need to have the best possible presentation of the muscles you have built, and diet and cardio do that. But the most gains you will make each year take place in those months where you run a decent cycle, add some food, and train like mad. Here are some specifics for off-season bulking success for the non-natural bodybuilder.
Back width is perhaps the single most important factor in determining who walks away with the overall trophy in bodybuilding competitions. We’ve seen men like Lee Haney, Dorian Yates, and Ronnie Coleman dominate in bodybuilding competition, despite injuries and conditioning shortcomings, simply because they had the biggest and widest backs in the sport at the time. When they turned around, it was “Lights Out!” In fact, in 2006, Ronnie Coleman sustained nerve damage in his lat muscle, the exact same year that Jay Cutler entered the show with the widest back he had ever shown on a pro stage. And, true to tradition, Cutler walked away with the Sandow trophy. Bodybuilding standards are simple – the man with the biggest back usually wins the show.

There will be times in life where those who use anabolic steroids will be confronted with an unexpected illness brought about by their use. It may be pneumonia or a staph infection from bacteria in an impure oil or unclean needle. It could be a kidney infection brought about by too many toxins in the body interacting with some other medication we’re taking, or simple dehydration from a long-term use of AAS with creatine. Whatever the cause, there will probably be a time where you, as a steroid user, will encounter a health issue which will knock you off your feet for a few months. While you’re lying in your hospital bed contemplating your future, you may decide that your run with anabolic steroids is over. This is fine, and a choice that many bodybuilders eventually make. You can still have a fine bodybuilding or powerlifting career as a natural. You’re not going to win a pro card or break any records, but you are still going to be able to compete against yourself.
For many bodybuilders looking to add finish to their physiques or maintain mass while sculpting the size they have, a 5-day per week routine is the best route to go. They are able to give each body part the attention it deserves for one very intense training session, then the body part receives 6 days (almost 150 hours) to rest. We all know that it’s very rare that a full week rolls around and ANY body part is still sore, no matter how hard we train it.

Myostatin is a word commonly thrown around these days. It started with Flex Wheeler in the 1990s, and has continued to be used with today’s phenom bodybuilders such as Michael Lockett. Every time a bodybuilder comes out of nowhere and shows extreme muscularity while claiming to have barely trained or scrimped by on two meals a day to achieve his condition, fans begin the rumor mill that the person is myostatin-deficient. Myostatin is the gene that inhibits muscle growth. Being deficient in it would mean your body doesn’t “turn off” muscle growth. Usually, bodybuilders with this tag will milk it for all it’s worth. In a sport which is essentially a freak show, being labeled the biggest freak of them all is a very good thing. They’ll let the rumors continue and play innocent. However, usually they are revealed to be normal when they don’t improve much more, even when they begin eating correctly and using AAS. It appears their physiques which they claimed were “gifts from God” were fairly hormonized before they earned the spotlight. Usually these bodybuilders will have good careers, but it will become obvious that they never possessed any magic gene (or lack thereof). However, the hype they were able to generate will have helped them secure a nice supplement contract along the way.

It’s time to get those arms to grow. You’ve tried everything. You eat more. You sleep more. You supplement more. You may even dabble in AAS. Your recovery ability has improved, and you are getting stronger in the gym. But your arms just haven’t been growing.
