When it comes to making "top ten" lists regarding muscle building foods, I'm not exactly the biggest advocate. I will say, though, that there ARE certain foods you should be eating, and certain TIMES you should do so. It's not as cut and dry as just knowing WHAT muscle building foods to eat. Knowing WHEN to eat them is EVERY BIT as important! Contrary to what some believe, it's not all about JUST cutting carbohydrates, or JUST cutting fat. The back squat is known as the classic muscle building exercise. No other exercise works as many muscle fibers as completely as the back squat. With just this one weight lifting exercise you work your quads, hamstrings, calves, glutes, lower back, upper back, and abs. A clear goal will give you more reason to stay on your diet and training plan. To build muscle several important steps must be done daily. Eat good quality food, work out and get proper rest to recover.
