I don’t mean to be the fun kill because truth be told; alcohol is the life of any party. It not only makes every lady at the club a hot babe, but it also makes even the shyest guy feel like he can get any woman he wants. While of course this is a really good illusion, the one thing that I’ve been quite able to understand is this. Every drunkard wakes up in the morning with a nasty hangover and declares that they will never, ever drink another bottle of beer or glass of wine. That same night, they are all over shots of tequila and whiskey! They wake up with an even worse hang over, make the same resolution and the vicious cycle repeats itself over and over.
Alcohol has a profoundly negative effect on your kidneys which in ...Posted in: Nutrition | | Comments (0)
There have been approaches being taken by different body builders. Some of them have been productive while others have brought havoc in the profession. Many articles have been written to instruct body builders on the best way of training and there have been very many measures put in place to ensure that this is done in the proper manner and practiced effectively. However, there are still body builders who risk their lives in the pursuit of better results and this article is therefore a reminder of proper body building and how it should be carried out.
Overtraining is one of the worst experiences for your muscles and it should be totally avoided. But many people still do not know how to handle this and they have been met by negative consequences of the same. It is very possible to overstrain your muscles ...Posted in: Misc. Many things in life come down to the luck of the draw. We all know of a healthy person who exercised regularly and ate clean who keeled over from a heart attack at the age of 50. We also all probably have a relative who smoke and drank every day of his life who is still alive and kickin’ well into his eighties. While we can eat healthy, train hard, and look both ways before we cross the street, we are all at the mercy of the genetics with which we are born. Here are a few areas of bodybuilding success which are blessed or limited based upon our genetics.

Many challenges will come your way as you try to lay a foundation in every career. Take for instance the youth who feel a longing to establish themselves in a bodybuilding career. The most obvious problem is fighting the prejudice that exists in every society concerning body building as a profession and not as a fitness tool. Many steroid users and especially abusers are naturally taken to have been body builders at some point in their lives. This attitude is hard to beat especially among the older folks. Parents always view with a negative bias any attempt by their children to take up body building. To most parents, body building is more of a street art than a profession.
If all you need is a way of keeping fit, the problems facing you will have to do with availability of time and ...Posted in: Training | | Comments (0)
Many female bodybuilders just go to the gym, tone up their physique and never engage in any weight lifting exercise and if asked why they ignore weight lifting, they are categorical that what they don’t want is build huge muscles. Most females do not want to develop muscles and look more like the muscular men they see in the gym. They are ignorant of the fact that even if they tried to, they would never develop huge muscles. But the failure of ladies to lift weights during workouts is a terrible mistake. They are missing on the many wonderful benefits which lifting of weights can give a person. This terrible female developed myth associated with building huge muscles has created immense fear on women, making them to refrain from training with the available weights which is detrimental to their overall well ...Posted in: Training | | Comments (0)
Q: My question is about “sets to failure” - my progress has been waning lately and I’m just not getting enough growth out of workouts that have gotten progressively heavier. The only thing I can pinpoint is that I do sets to failure too often. How often should you train to failure, and how many sets?
A: There are two different kinds of failure: Absolute failure and positive failure. Positive failure is of benefit and absolute failure is not. Just because you have a few extra sets in you, doesn’t mean you should always do them. That is a good rule of thumb. Only use that technique sparingly - particularly if you are continually striving to go up in weight for strength. Stopping a rep or two before failure is fine - it’s what built most legendary bodybuilders’ bodies. ...Posted in: Misc. Articles | | Comments (0)
Body building is a very competitive sport and that is why many people are usually stressed up when they take up bodybuilding. Therefore if you are a novice at bodybuilding do not be discouraged if you find yourself being stressed all the time. When you are working out hormones come into play and that is why you end up becoming very irritated by small things.
When you use steroids in your bodybuilding routine you will heighten the amount of stress you have. The reason is because steroids tend to cause hormonal imbalance in the body and when this happens you end up getting mood swings and depression.
Therefore the first thing you need to do if you are using steroids is to stop taking them completely. Not only will this help you reduce your stress levels but it will also help you ...Posted in: Misc. Articles | | Comments (0)
Q: I'm 16 and I've been reading up on taking supplements. My dad says he thinks I should wait, because it might affect my growth or do something to my normal hormones and development. I'm not talking about taking steroids, just supplements to help me in the gym and with football. My parents want me to ask an expert on the subject since our family doctor didn't know the answer. What's okay for a guy my age to take. I've been training for the past 6 months in preparation for my football season. Here's what I want to take:
Whey protein
GNC Men Sport vitamins
Creatine Monohydrate
Are these okay?
A: We think that the first two are totally fine and really, if you are athletic at any age, taking additional protein, within reason, and vitamins is something you can definitely do and it will ...Posted in: Misc. Articles | | Comments (0)
