While many aspects of our bodies are maintained through healthy eating, drinking, and lifestyle habits, muscle maintenance is not quite the same. A healthy diet and sleep routine play an important role in muscle fitness, but these habits are not enough alone to bring about muscle fitness fully.
Muscle fitness is gained through use. While a person who sits in a chair for much of his life and eats fruits and vegetables constantly may be healthy, his muscles will not be strong or toned. Without use, muscles become weak and unable to bear challenges. Although a person may appear healthy on the outside or even live a relatively healthy lifestyle, doesn't mean their muscles are fit.
