Eating correctly for adding muscle involves starting early, and eating the right things on a consistent basis throughout the day. Here are a few tips for helping to make this happen.
Plan Breakfast
You should always know what you’ll be having for breakfast before you go to sleep each night. We don’t always think the clearest in the morning, and failure to have the materials on hand for a good breakfast can result in the bodybuilders either skipping that first meal, or grabbing some junk food instead. It’s easy to mentally plan out your meals as you work each day, but much harder when you’re staring at your fridge blankly at 7 am. Plan ahead and start your day out right!
Shop Unprocessed
As you shop at the grocery store, purposefully select items which are as unprocessed as possible. ...Posted in: Nutrition | | Comments (2)
If you think Body building is all about accumulating body mass and big biceps you might not be wrong, but it also includes building compact muscles. Building muscle fibres does involve two bodily processes, from the accumulation of additional proteins to the facilitation of the ever increasing need for body energy in times of workouts and the transformation of fats into both energy forms and fibre strata.
Some of the calories a body burns in a day are used to process the nutrients consumed. Human muscle cells burn calories relatively faster than they burns fat cells. This essentially means that the more muscles a body builder develops, the more calories he can burn. When a body builder deprives the body the essential calories while engaging in demanding workouts, the body automatically slows down the metabolism so as to conserve fuel.

By power packed I mean exactly that. Foods that will provide your body with energy, boost your immune system, and provide the requirements for building muscle tissues. In other words eat protein, carbohydrates and fat.

Are you interested in using creatine, but aren’t familiar with the product? Here are a few points that all bodybuilders, advanced and novice, should consider before utilizing this very useful product.
Variants
There are several different types of creatine available on the market. The original, and still most popular, is the unflavored, pure micronized creatine monohydrate. It is effective when mixed with water, but most bodybuilders prefer to mix it with juice. The sugar in the combination allows it to be absorbed into the digestive system much more readily. Because of this, supplement companies have come out with a new product offering which pre-mixed creatine with sugar. This is then mixed with water and consumed. This product costs about double what you would pay for plain creatine powder. There are other compounds, including ...Posted in: Supplements | | Comments (3)
Bodybuilders are often seen standing in the grain aisle at the grocery store, squinting at the product labels of two bags of rice, attempting to make the decision as to which to buy: White or brown? It’s a decision that has confused many. Bodybuilders should understand the difference between the two types, and make their dietary decisions using this information. Here is a rundown on the differences between white and brown rice.
Glycemic Index
Brown and white rice have about the same effect on blood glucose levels, with white rice having a ten point advantage on the GI index 100 point scale (about 60 to 50). As a result, white rice will leave the bodybuilder a little hungrier, a little sooner.
Digestion
Brown rice contains fiber, while white rice does not. The dietary fiber is removed during processing. Brown rice will ...Posted in: Nutrition | | Comments (1)
For you to be able to succeed in gaining more muscles you need to go on a special kind of diet which is specifically tailor made to enhance muscle growth. When I first started lifting weights I did not know what kind of food I should eat. I used to hit the gym four times a week and do some serious training. After the training I would simply eat a lot of food, expecting to gain more muscles.
Looking back, I can’t help but to laugh at my self for being so ignorant. The number one food which was very frequent in my meals was veggies. Can you imagine trying to build muscles by eating veggies, I guess I have to blame too much cartoon watching, for I thought if spinach worked for Popeye then it could work for me ...Posted in: Nutrition | | Comments (0)
Bodybuilders have two primary goals. The first, and most obvious, is to build muscle. This is the goal of most people who are first picking up a weight, and this is the goal of those who have been training for twenty years. But the second goal is equally important – maintaining a low enough body fat percentage so that the muscle weight gained is actually visible.
The metabolism is the body’s mechanism, which burns a flat number of calories each day. People with a high metabolism typically have low body fat. People with a low metabolism tend to carry a body fat level of 15% or higher. Anytime the body fat goes higher than 10 or 12%, a bodybuilder stops looking like a bodybuilder and starts looking like a powerlifter, or worse, overweight.
The metabolism can ...Posted in: Nutrition | | Comments (0)
