There’s a fine line between training like a madman, and training foolishly. Likewise, you walk a tight rope between training safely and failing to push your muscles to growth. Many bodybuilders have long worried they were training too safe, not safely enough, too heavy, too light, and more. Others just go into the weight room and throw some weights around, training in a chaotic manner and essentially wrecking the weight room in the process. It seems that this group of kamikaze trainers is typically more likely to sustain injuries, and the safe, cautious lifters are the ones who never seem to make serious gains.

Anyone who has ever served in the military knows one thing for sure. When two soldiers take the battlefield against a common enemy, they have each others’ backs until the end. They’d fall on a grenade for their buddy. They’d take a bullet for their buddy. Keeping their buddy safe and out of harm’s way is as important as the mission itself – it’s even part of the mission. This translates to the gym, when we (often with a training partner) go to war against the iron. Let’s learn more about spotter communication and etiquette.

When you are training in the gym with a gym partner, your performance can greatly improve. Humans generally tend to work well when they have company; this is usually true since man is a social being. When you are training with a gym partner you tend to get better results compared to if you were working alone. Your gym partner however needs to be hard working because if he is lazy you will also become lazy. You should also ensure that your gym partner shares the same goals as you do when it comes to bodybuilding.

Biceps are, by far, the most noticeable and popular body part, both inside and outside of the gym. For this reason, many bodybuilders devote an inordinate amount of time to training this muscle group. While this may pay off in the beginning, where a moderately developed bicep will stand out on an otherwise untrained physique, the biceps often hit peaks before other groups. This leaves the upper arms lagging as the rest of your muscle groups see growth. Here are a few tips for stimulating some biceps growth!
