I said low fat not fat-free! There’s a very big difference between these two statements. I never advocate for doing away with fats. It’s simply ridiculous and very unhealthy. Ever heard of fat soluble vitamins and minerals? Well as the name suggests, they are very soluble in fat and are therefore absorbed into the body and also transported around the body with the help of fats as the medium.
Minerals and vitamins have a large variety of functions. They are essential for the synthesis, control and release of important substances like proteins, hormones and even energy. What you will realize is that they work hand in hand with one another in ensuring the optimality of body functions and processes.
Vitamins in the body serve many roles including prevention from infection and regulation of hormonal balances to ensure a perfect performance of the body system. This is why it should be in the body builder’s mind that, the vitamins have to be included among others in the body building diet. Without the vitamins, the body becomes sour and the body becomes prone to infections to the extent that, one has to quit the body building field. There are very many ways of obtaining vitamins and this can be through the diet or as supplements in the routine. These vitamins are of different types and they serve different purposes.

1. Vitamin B-12
It has very many functions and the ones that are specifically of greater importance to body builders are carbohydrate metabolism and are used also in the nervous system. Coordination, contraction and muscle growth are stimulated by the nervous system which is maintained by vitamin B12. It is available in animal products and it’s therefore a requirement that athletic vegetarians should use supplements.

There are vitamins and minerals in the body that are considered to be fat soluble in the sense that that they rely on fats for transportation. This means that for those strictly no fat eaters, they are likely to suffer a deficiency of these substances. As much as you may need to cut down on your fat intake because you want to loose weight, doing away with them will give you more problems to deal with than just the belly you want to flatten. You have to take some fat to ensure that these fat soluble vitamins and minerals are both absorbed and taken around the body.

Bodybuilding as a sport is geared towards helping you get a good body physique as well as helping you maintain sound health. The key to succeeding in bodybuilding has to do with eating right and training frequently. If you neglect these two rules then I am afraid you will not succeed in body building. If you are a serious bodybuilder then you need to establish a training rhythm because this is a cardinal requirement. A body builder needs to train very often if he wants to succeed in this wonderful sport. There are certain considerations a bodybuilder needs to keep in mind when they are trying to come up with a proper training rhythm. When trying to determine the frequency of your training program, you should base your decision on the number of training days you actually workout and not the number of days in the calendar. If you truly want to excel in bodybuilding then you need to set a specific day per week when you will be training a one or two individual muscle group. When you use the calendar days you will be limiting your potential and this make bodybuilding to be monotonous and boring.

Many bodybuilders are usually very confused when determining there proper vitamins to include in there nutrition program. The muscle tissues rely on certain minerals in order to grow and increase in size. For you to become a successful bodybuilder you need to ensure that you include these minerals in your dietary program. Many bodybuilders make the mistake of overlooking the importance of vitamins and the place a lot of emphasis on carbohydrates.
