pmXfit – The Ultimate Training System!
Supplements are the lifeblood of the bodybuilding industry. And they make a nice “topper” to a well-constructed diet and nutrition regimen. Most serious lifters use the basic supplements – whey protein, creatine, and a few others – while some more advanced athletes have found other supplements to fit their unique needs as they near their physical potentials. Wherever you are on the supplement buying scale, you can use a few tricks to save a few bucks when making your next supplement purchase.
Buy in Bulk
The bigger the box/canister, the cheaper it’s going to be. If you can buy larger amounts and use them before expiration, it’s definitely in your best interest to do so. The only caveat is buying a new supplement for the first time. If you’re not sure if you’re going to like it, or if it will work, then buy smaller to give it a try. But for tried and true items that you regularly use to help you meet your goals, bulk is best!
Repeat Business
Often, when you frequently purchase from the same website, you will receive email coupons and discounts. So while those emails they send you every week might be annoying, if it’s time to buy, open one up and see if any specials exist on a product you’re seeking.
Shop around
Froogle.com, Ebay.com or other websites will scan tens of thousands of bodybuilding supplement websites and deliver you those with the lowest prices for a particular product. While you then might not be inclined to purchase from this unknown website, it does present fodder for our next step: price matching!
Ask if they price match
We all know the several companies that we’re experienced with – the website is familiar, the product comes with regularity, but the prices might be a tad higher than others. In cases like this, email them and ask if they’ll match a competitor’s price. Often, to keep a loyal customer, they will acquiesce to your request. Find the lowest price you can, and ask your favorite site to match it.
Trade
Do you build websites? Are you a graphic designer? Do you run a t-shirt store? Can you fill any need that the supplement seller might have? Often, trading your skill or product for the supplements you desire can result in your getting products for free, or near free, in exchange for some labor or product you possess. This can be advantageous for both parties involved!
Ask!
if a supplement company is small and loosely organized, you can often shoot an email to one of the heads and simply ask for a coupon. It cannot hurt to try, and they know that a customer they “treat” once will definitely trust the company, and possibly become a lifetime customer.
The next time your tub of creatine, whey, or Mesobolin gets low, don’t just drive to the supermarket and pay whatever they ask. Instead, employ these quick tips and save yourself a few bucks!
