pmXfit – The Ultimate Training System!
When most people make the final decision that they are going to hit the gym they do so oblivious of the fact that the ride will not be bread and butter. The initial sessions are quite encouraging and the person will so often brag to colleagues at work that they are on the way to fitness and that nothing will stop them in their tracks. For them the only thing that they can see in their minds is their transformation into the hunks and the belles that they have always fantasized themselves to become one day and this is their main motivation.
As the time draws on and the reality of the whole exercise starts becoming more crystal clear most of these people start to become frustrated with the slow progress. This is especially when they hit the first plateau. The plateau stage is where little or no progress seems to be made despite consistency in the gym. Many start to withdraw from the gym and start searching for ‘better’ alternatives to their predicaments. In the opinion of industry experts, the main culprit in these situations is misinformation.
When this situation is analyzed and when you try to reach to the core of the problem you will mostly find that these people were misinformed from the outset.
They are probably victims of the very magazines that they thought would inspire them to attain the great bodies that are usually displayed atop the glossy publications. What these magazines do not put in open terms is the fact that to attain such a body or physique it will take quite some time and that there will be so many challenges to cope with. Remember that our bodies are all unique and what works for me does not have to work for you.
Some of the articles that are written in these publications are not from industry experts but they are the works of quacks whose only agenda is to make quick bucks and move on to the next job. As such, a huge amount of useless information is posted in some publications and the readers assume that it is all factual. Trying to implement this in the gym becomes a whole new story; a frustrating story.
The disadvantage about these misinforming articles is that they spur the reader to the gym with so high an expectation but they fail to act as a shock-absorber when the gym novice is ‘spent’ and is only intent on quitting from the same.
The novice gym member should understand that the body works in a regulated manner which also applies in the purpose of training. The body will usually show signals that progress is being achieved. You will feel the muscles twitching (this is often the sign that your efforts are beginning to be noted by the body) and you will be really motivated. Be persistent! A time usually comes when you have to increase your game level and take it higher. It is always an increasing effort, not a straight line or a downhill ride; this is the only way that progress can be sustained.
