Running is very important in terms of keeping the body healthy. It is one of the most prescribed ways by trainers in body building of warming up to the vigorous trainings. Many people rise up early in the morning to take a few laps around a designated route running to achieve their dreams of losing fats. However, the same type of training brings in negative results if excessively depended on and makes the body of the body builder unhealthy, demeaning their chances of fitness.
The first this is that running decreases the size of the heart of an individual who does it excessively. Small muscles usually use less energy and they are usually more efficient in development. Consider the varying difference in terms of energy consumption in between a 50cc scooter for a ride, and a generally huge V8 4×4 truck, this is evident that the later will use more energy. If this type of force is repeated over time and again and done for long durations, the weakest joint eventually gives out. Usually, it is the ankles or the knees which are the first to go and this is what reduces your form as a body builder.
Running also slows down the metabolism of the body. It is biologically proven that, the more muscle toning you undertake and maintain, the higher the body metabolism. The muscle is metabolically high and active requiring the constant energy supply for it to survive and therefore the more you tone muscles which demands for more calories. This burning of calories is therefore heightened and the energy stores can easily be depleted eventually turning to muscles to break them down and the whole process is therefore compromised from succumbing to injuries and poor form.
Running is not a very adventurous activity and it is usually very boring and also consumes a lot of time. This is why it can disappoint you by lowering your morale to do any other form of workouts. When you run for long distances it is usually monotonous and the psyche to do any other extra training is lowered. At times people assume it to be enough for the day and this cause an imbalance in your training which is the worst form of training you can ever engage in.
