The reason is because they are supposed to undertake intense training in the gym and also there muscles need to be provided with enough nutrients to facilitate faster recovery. In order to facilitate faster recovery of the muscles a bodybuilder is supposed to take plenty of proteins since they are the building blocks of muscles. In order to train intensely in the gym, a bodybuilder should take plenty of carbohydrates and healthy fat since they are rich in glycogen which acts as fuel for the muscles. A proper nutrition and training go hand in hand with helping a person develop there muscles.
