You cannot expect to increase your weight if you do not eat a proper nutrition. The nutrition you take will determine whether you are going to succeed in increasing your weight. If you are skinny your body metabolism is very fast and that is why you are not able to increase your weight. Your body is burning the calories you take as soon as they enter your body. In order to counter the effect of fast metabolism you should increase your intake of calories. Your diet should therefore contain plenty of proteins, carbohydrates, healthy fat and vitamins. Carbohydrates contain plenty of calories which are used to generate energy. Proteins on the other hand act as the building blocks of muscles. Healthy fast also contain plenty of calories needed to facilitate intense training in the gym.

2. Weight Training

In order to double your weight increase you should increase the percentage of your muscles and not fat. When you increase the percentage of fat in your body you will not develop a good body physique. In order to increase your muscles you are supposed to undertake weight training exercises. When you are weight training you should not prolong the workout sessions. Each workout session should not last more than 30 minutes because your blood sugar level will be very low by then. Since you are supposed to train all your muscles by the end of the thirty minutes there is only one training technique which is going to help you achieve your goal. This technique is referred to as compound movement exercise technique. It is very effective in reducing the amount of time you have to spend in the gym since you are able to train more than one muscle group at the same time.

3. Avoid Cardio Exercises

Cardio exercises are going to make you burn a lot of calories which is very detrimental for a person seeking to increase there weight. You should however not neglect cardio exercises completely since they are useful in making the heart muscles strong. You are however advised to reduce the amount of days you perform cardio exercises to a maximum of two days a week.
