Injuries normally occur when you are working with weights. Despite this the benefits which come from lifting weights are too many to be ignored. Here are some of the benefits which come out of lifting weights;

1. Always start with a warm up
If you want to really minimize the chances of getting injuries in the gym, you should always start with warm up exercises before you do the actual lifting.
Warm ups are essential in lubricating your joints and ensuring proper blood flow in the connective tissues. You should warm up for 20-25 minutes to enable your mind and the body to be prepared for hard work.
2. Train with the right technique.
For you to be able to keep the stress off the joints, you need to carry each training exercise with the right technique. If you use the wrong techniques you will hurt yourself.
3. Don’t lift weights in excess of your capacity.

Do not ignore any part of your body which is aching or in pain, this could be a sign that you are not functioning at 100 percent. If you ignore it for long you might end up paying very heavily.
