1. Observe a weight gaining nutrition
For you to be able to double your weight gain nutrition plays a major role in determining your chances of success. Depending on what you aim to achieve, if you are looking to gain massive muscles then you need to take in quality proteins such as proteins, fat and carbohydrates which will help the body repair worn out muscle tissues.
If your aim is to develop lean muscles and reduce the amount of fat in the body then you should reduce your calories to a proportion equal to how you are lifting weights.
It does not matter what you’re goals are, remember you will not be able to realize it by starving yourself. You should always ensure that your body is getting adequate nutrition and calories which are of quality from carbohydrates, proteins, and fat.
You should not strive just to gain weight but you should try and gain quality weight. The only way to do this is by first getting knowledge of the types of food needed for you to do this.

2. Weight training
The type of training routine will vary depending on what you aim to achieve with regards to your appearance. If you want to be huge, you should structure your training routine and lift heavy weights with little repetitions.
However if the results you are hoping for is a perfectly toned and lean muscular body then you should lift both heavy and light weights. Lifting light weights with more repetitions will ensure that you get a well defined body.
If you use a program which does not meet your goals and body type you will be wasting your effort ant time in the gym, so be careful when selecting the program to use.
3. Train intensely
For your body to respond and grow you need to do some intense lifting while you are in the gym. By this I mean do not go to the gym for the sake of appearance but rather use each time you have in the gym as if it was your last day.
You need to do some serious damage to your muscles so that they can recover and grow bigger.
4. Rest
The importance of rest cannot be overemphasized. For you to gain weight you need to rest in between your training sessions an when you go home ensure you attain at least 8 hours sleep.
