You need to take up weight training as well if you want to increase your body weight. You should avoid aerobic exercises also since they will make you burn calories and lead to the loss of body weight. When you train using weights, your body will be able to convert your calories into muscles and not fat. Weight training will ensure that you not only increase your body weight but you also get to develop a good body composition in the process. You do not want to go from being skinny to becoming obese. Through weight training you will be able to increase the percentage of your body muscles and hence improve your body physique. If you have never joined a gym, then you need to join a gym. You should choose a gym which has a proper fitness instructor who will be able to advice you on the proper routines of weight training.
Last but not least, if you want to increase your body weight, you need to ensure that you rest. Without getting adequate rest, your body will not be able to produce growth hormones needed to make you increase your body mass. You need to rest in between your weight training workouts. You should also sleep at least eight hours daily.
